A flock of swans take flight over Flynns Bay and over Papoose Island in the St. Lawrence River near Clayton, NY, Friday, Dec. 19, 2014. In recent years, weeds (pictured) have overgrown the channel side of the island, and consequently, choke the fish spawning beds that were previously there.
