Heather Ainsworth is an award-winning photojournalist based in Upstate New York.
As a frequent contributor to The Associated Press and The New York Times, Heather's work has also been published by The Washington Post, The Los Angeles Times, U.S. News and World Report and MSNBC among others.
Heather teaches photojournalism at the State University of New York Institute of Technology in Utica, N.Y.
Previously, Heather worked as a staff photographer for The Observer-Dispatch in Utica, N.Y., and the Idaho State Journal in Pocatello, ID., and interned for newspapers in Montgomery, AL., Denver, CO., and Colorado Springs, CO.
As a resident of Ithaca, N.Y., Heather enjoys spending her free time outdoors and seeing as much live music as possible.
